Busy and exciting times ahead as I am building an extension to my woodcarving studio.  I’ve added an extra room to give me more space for timber storage, tuition and more importantly to give me more space to carve.  I’ve just finished painting the walls a light mint blue, not as harsh as white and it absorbs as well as reflects natural light making for a brighter work space.  Next on my list is to make my carving benches, re-install electrical equipment and set about positioning my upright carvers stand.

I’m hoping to be up and running by mid May as I’ve got a local exhibition in Mullingar during the month of July that I need to get organised for.  I’m thinking of carving “The Morrigan” from a 6′ piece of Bog Oak log that I’ve had for the last 10 years.  The image has been in my head for the last four months, so it’s time to get it out into wood.

I hope you like my new website that has been a while coming, but we got there in the end.  Many thanks to Ryan and all at Harty Design for a great job.
