This large Beech was felled by the wind leaving it’s root plate exposed up over the ground. The Park Superintendent of Millenium Park, Blanchardstown wanted it turned into a piece of art. I thought it the perfect place to represent the magical mythological people known as the Fae who took up residence in dark carverns, beneath boulders and underground in the realm of trees. They favoured quieter forests and sheltered thick hawthorn hedgerows.
